had a bit of an accident. the best part has been watching our wildlife as I mend. we have great windows and all kinds of critters to observe. I watched 2 robins build a nest. took one day. incredible. now I'm watching the 4 babies they are feeding. I swear, they are nothing but wobbly beaks, always open. (mine, mine, mine, mine!!) it's a hoot.
saw my first chipmunk of the season. had been wondering where they were. normally we have so many scampering everywhere. the quail had their first brood (or whatever you call those tiny egg sized babies). they start out with about 25 and in a couple of weeks the numbers have dwindled considerably. hard to observe but a part of our environment here. we are lucky to have an owl on our land. everything has to eat. I just don't want to know about one consuming another if possible.
life always seems to march onward. I'm anxious to become a bigger part of it again.
